Students have a unique opportunity to work with the Redlands Institute to gain hands-on
GIS experience under the guidance of senior professionals. Student interns have
worked on a range of projects including in-field science research and data collection,
spatial analysis and visualization for research projects, involvement with library
system operations, and application development with emerging information technology.
Since 2000, the Institute has supported 56 undergraduate students, 3 international
students, and 9 masters students through our internship program.
The Institute also supports the students and projects of the graduate MS GIS
program, the Learning Spatially (LENS) Initiative, and ESRI's international
internship program.
